Future Red Tornado
CLIENT: Lancaster Recreation Commission
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Future Red Tornado initiative was a partnership between the School District of Lancaster and the Lancaster Recreation Commission. The goal of The Future Red Tornado Initiative is to encourage more children to be involved in youth sports and to elevate the success and competitiveness of School District athletic teams. The high school mascot is the Red Tornado.
The folder was designed as part of a fundraiser campaign to solicit donations. It includes horizontal waterfall inserts and a detailed booklet. The booklet was designed to include photos from the Lancaster Rec archives and recent photos to demonstrate Lancaster Rec's enduring commitment to and importance in the Lancaster community.
Design elements include a curved line/cutout that mirrors the logo and photos that emphasize the diversity of the children enrolled in Lancaster Rec's programs. Several layouts include photos of children stepping out of the photo into the white space to create a more dynamic interplay with the content.
