Happy New Year! My first blog of the new year and I already missed my deadline. But hey, New Years resolutions don’t technically kick in until February, right? There’s an adjustment period, is all I’m saying. But my plan is to publish my blog every fortnight, so, you can look forward to more of me in the new year. I'm excited too.
With the hullabaloo of the holidays behind me, I wanted to start the new year with some unfinished business. Last summer, I took photos of singer/songwriter Scott Parmer for his new album Songcatcher. (You can check out the photos from that shoot here). With his photo shoot complete and marketing direction established, the only thing left to do was for Scott to finish recording Songcatcher and for me to wait in anticipation.
A few weeks before Christmas, he unveiled Songcatcher at The Vineyard at Grandview, in Mount Joy, to great success. I mean, what can go wrong with good people, good wine, and good music? I was on hand selling some of my photography and jewelry and taking pictures too, which was difficult with the glass of wine in my hand, but I made do.
